Cross Country Skiing Rules

Date/Site Changes and Minimum Length of Play

Race Rules

This rule applies to World Cup competitions. All bets are settled on the official classification at the time of the podium presentation. If a competition is interrupted or postponed but is within 80 hours of the original start date, then all bets on the event are valid. If the event does not take place within 80 hours of the original start date, then all bets are cancelled.

Tournament Rules

All bets are settled on the official classification at the time of the podium presentation (flower ceremony). When a betting event within a sporting tournament (e.g. World, European or National Championships, Olympics etc.) is postponed within the official time allocated for the event, all transacted bets remain valid. If the betting event does not commence within the official time allocated, then all bets are cancelled. If the sporting tournament does not commence within the official time allocated, then all bets are cancelled.

Cross Country Skiing Wagers

Antepost/Outright Winner (others on request)

If a selection is disqualified for reason, then all bets on this selection are settled as “lost.” If the race is won by an athlete/nation on which no odds were offered, then the betting option “Any other not listed” is the winner. However, if “any other not listed” is not offered, then all bets are settled as “lost.”

If BetMGM offers an option for “Others on Request,” then odds can be offered on skiers that do not appear in the original list of participants on customers' request.

Finish in Top X (e.g. Top 3, Top 10) (others on request)

If a selection is disqualified for any reason, then all bets on that selection are settled as “lost.” If one or more of the respective “Top X” rankings is occupied by an athlete/nation on which no odds were offered, then only bets on athletes/nations that finish in the “Top X” rankings and that odds were offered on will be settled as “won.”

If BetMGM offers an option for “Others on Request,” then odds can be offered on skiers that do not appear in the original list of participants on customers' request.

Head-to-Head (H2H)

The winner is the athlete/nation that places higher in the event. If an athlete/nation is disqualified or does not finish the event for any reason, then the other athlete/nation is the winner. If both athletes/nations are disqualified or do not finish the event for any other reason, then all bets are cancelled. If one competitor fails to finish, while the other fails to qualify from the Prologue, then the competitor with the best placing in the Prologue is the winner. If neither competitor qualifies from the Prologue, then the competitor with the best placing in the Prologue is the winner. If one competitor completes the Prologue but fails to finish, while the other fails to complete the Prologue, then the former is the winner.

Cross Country Sprint

The winner is the athlete/nation that places higher when the tournament is finished. If one of the two athletes fails to qualify for the main event, then the other athlete is the winner. If both athletes/nations fail to qualify for the main event, then bets will be settled on the result from the qualifying. If both athletes qualify for the main event but one of them does not finish the main event for any reason, then the other athlete is the winner. If both athletes are disqualified or do not finish the event for any other reason, then all bets are cancelled.

Triple Head-to-Head

The winner is the athlete/nation that places highest in the race. If an athlete/nation is disqualified or does not finish the race for any reason, then this selection is a loser and the bet is decided between the remaining two athletes/nations. If two athletes/nations are disqualified or do not finish the race for any reason, then the remaining athlete/nation is the winner. If all three athletes/nations are disqualified or do not finish the event for any other reason, then all bets are cancelled.
